Load demands all the time can be met by hybrid generation systems using more than a single source of supply. Hybrid system can be used to achieve higher generating capacities. In this project, wind-photovoltaic hybrid power generation system model is integrated together with a battery system to supply the load requirement. This system is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK Software. Generally, Hybrid systems are more advantageous as individual power generation system is not completely reliable in operation. When any one of the system is shutdown the other can supply power. Figure 4.1 shows the block diagram of entire hybrid system.
Solar photovoltaic, Wind system and the battery are integrated together and connected in parallel to a common DC bus bar. To maintain the DC bus voltage each renewable source voltages are boosted up using boost converter. Then to meet the load DC voltage is converted to AC by using three phase inverter. Then converted AC supplies multiple load demand.
