Our environment
Our Environment is an essential part of our life. A clean environment is very necessary to live a peaceful and healthy life. It helps human beings, animals and other living things to grow and develop naturally. But now days, our environment is disturbing in many ways which effect on all living beings. Pollution is the most commonly used word for this natural destruction. Many environmental researchers have found that this environmental pollution occurs due to the human activities such as globalization industrialization, and the rapid growth in technology. The most common ways of pollution are;
• Air pollution
• Water pollution
• Land pollution
Air pollution occurs when the dust particles, gases, fumes entered into the atmosphere in a way that makes it harmful to humans, animals and the whole planet. Air pollution usually caused by emission from vehicles, factories, agriculture and open burning. One of the major causes of air pollution is the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Today, air pollutants have shown a great effect on plantations, health and life, decreasing the enjoyment of living, rising medical costs, causes global warming and also causes the destruction of the ozone layer.
Water is one of the most important basic elements necessary for life. Today because of the human activities water get polluted. We can see garbage in tons heaped up near waterways. Water pollution occurs due to mixing waste products from factories, waste from sewage, waste from power plants, and waste from underground coal mines and waste from oil well
The major causes of land pollution are construction, domestic waste, industrial waste and agriculture. Plastic factories, oil refineries, nuclear waste disposals, and large animal farms, all lead to land pollution. With the rapid increase of constructions, the demand for the food increases and the forests are cut down to make farm lands.
We can help to reduce global environmental pollution if we try,
Driving a car that gets at least 35 mpg, walking, biking, and using public transportation, using CFL bulbs over incandescent bulbs, buying only energy efficient appliances, recycling newspaper, aluminum, and others, planting trees, use environment safe products avoid purchasing products that contains CFC’s, supporting much stricter clean air laws and enforcement of international treaties to reduce ozone depletion and slow global warming.
It is our responsibility to protect our beautiful environment for the sake of us and for our future.
