Reframing a clients perception is to view it in a bigger frame so it enables them to see the world in a broader outlook rather than how they were seeing it before. The counsellor collects the information and uses it to offer a different perception of how the client was viewing it.
An individual who is experiencing hard to accept the disadvantages of having chronic sickness. The counsellor tries to reframe how the client is seeing from their point of view. The counsellor tells the client, can you think of your sickness as a sign and after this to focus on taking care of yourself throughout your life. This broadens the client’s perception and reduces their distress they are experiencing.
