Etudes

Rhizospheric soil samples were collected from bean farm located at Soa (Center Region, Cameroon) during January to Mars 2014. Isolation of Trichoderma spp was made using serial dilution technique. Each collected soil sample was thoroughly mixed, pulverized using of mortar and pestle, and passed through a 0.4 mm soil screen sieve. One gram of soil was suspended in 9 ml sterile distilled water. The suspensions were made homogeneous by agitation and further serial dilutions of 10-2, 10-3 and 10-4 were prepared. One milliliter of serially diluted suspension from each dilution was deposited into PDA medium and the Petri plates were thoroughly mixed by gently swirling to uniformly spread the suspension. Isolates of Trichoderma colonies were replicated each 48 hours into the new PDA media until to obtain pure colonies.
